PROJECTS
731 BYWATER RD GIBSON ISLAND MD
For this project, a geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) was employed to effectively manage water and provide stability for the foundation, particularly given the structure's proximity to the water. Additionally, a heavy-duty liner was utilized for the foundation walls to ensure enhanced protection against moisture infiltration and to maintain the structural integrity of the building.
1810 CENTRAL DR, NE
For the sheeting and shoring, a geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) was used for the foundation, complemented by a 20-mil vapor barrier to prevent moisture intrusion, especially given the high water table in the area. Additionally, a drain board was installed to facilitate proper water drainage and further protect the integrity of the structure.
1001 RHODE ISLAND AVE, NE
For the foundation walls, a bitumen membrane was applied to provide a reliable barrier against moisture. Additionally, a drain board was installed on top of the membrane to ensure effective water drainage and further protect the integrity of the structure, particularly in light of the high water table in the area.
1850 CAPITOL AVE, NE
According to the project drawings for this high water table project in Washington, D.C., a 20-mil vapor barrier and a drain board are utilized to effectively manage moisture. The vapor barrier helps prevent water intrusion, while the drain board facilitates proper drainage, ensuring the integrity of the structure in challenging conditions.
VAPOR BARRIER APPLICATION
In this spectacular project, the application of a vapor barrier is crucial for moisture control. Alongside the vapor barrier, a spray liquid boot is utilized to enhance the waterproofing measures. This combination effectively protects the structure from potential water intrusion, ensuring long-term durability and performance
4328 GEORGIA AVE, NW
1525 MARION BARRY AVE, SE
The adjacent wall and the foundation required waterproofing to prevent moisture intrusion. To facilitate this process, the liner was installed using scaffolding, allowing access to the four-story building. This approach ensured that every section was effectively covered, enhancing the overall integrity of the structure
1201 JEFFERSON STREET, NE
This foundation is designed for a 100-unit apartment complex. During excavation, a significant amount of water was encountered, necessitating proper management to prevent contamination. For the sheeting and shoring, a geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) was utilized alongside a drain board to effectively manage water and protect the integrity of the foundation.
1600 GOOD HOPE RD, SE
For this foundation, a geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) was used, along with sheeting and shoring to address the challenges posed by a very high water table. This combination effectively managed water infiltration and ensured the structural integrity of the project.
3921 W STREET, NW
1121 MORSE STREET, NE
113 VARNUM STREET, NW
The CMU walls are waterproofed using polymer-modified mortar, followed by the installation of a liner and a drain board. This combination effectively prevents moisture infiltration and enhances the durability of the structure.
